About

Kristen Breault, LCSW

Hello, and welcome. I’m Kristen Breault (pronounced “Bro”!), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges with compassion, understanding, and hope.

I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of New England in 2014, and since then, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people through some of life’s most difficult and transformative moments. My experience spans a variety of settings — from serving as a bereavement counselor in a hospice setting, to working as a school-based therapist, to supervising a clinical team that supported foster and adoptive parents.

Most recently, I worked as an Oncology Counselor at a community cancer center, where I provided individual counseling and group support for young adults navigating the impact of a cancer diagnosis. This work has deepened my appreciation for the resilience that can emerge in the face of profound challenge and has reaffirmed my belief in the healing power of connection and storytelling.

In my practice, I draw from several therapeutic approaches — including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) — to meet each client where they are. I also enjoy incorporating expressive techniques, such as writing and/or drawing. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to explore your experiences and strengths in a manner that feels right for you.

I believe healing happens within a trusting relationship, and I strive to bring warmth, authenticity, and collaboration to every session. Whether you are facing grief, stress, or a period of transition, I’m here to walk alongside you as you find your way forward.
